Here We Golf - January 2025
In this special episode, Jay and Dan take a trip to Fliers Indoor Golf in Liverpool for an immersive simulator experience using Virtual Golf 3 and Trackman.
With 2025 shaping up to be a big year for our golf games, we wanted to set a benchmark for our progress by running through the bag, analyzing our numbers, and testing ourselves on the legendary St. Andrews Old Course, including the infamous Road Hole and hopefully a pint in the virtual Jigger.
This Trackman session serves as a foundation for future analysis—we’ll be tracking our improvements and coming back later in the year to see how far we’ve come.
We spent the session dialing in:
✔️ Club distances – How far are we really hitting each club?
✔️ Swing data & shot consistency – Where can we improve?
✔️ Ball flight & spin rates – Key insights from Trackman.
It’s always an eye-opener to see real, in-depth numbers on our swings, and this session gave us a great understanding of where our game currently stands.
No golf simulator session would be complete without a trip to St. Andrews, the home of golf.
🏌️ How did we handle the Road Hole?
🎯 Did we break par, or did St. Andrews break us?
💡 What did we learn from playing the Old Course virtually?
It’s safe to say, St. Andrews is tough—even in a simulator!
This was our first visit to Fliers Indoor Golf, and we were seriously impressed.
✔️ Top-class Trackman simulators
✔️ A relaxed but competitive atmosphere
✔️ The perfect place to work on your game year-round
We’ll definitely be back for another session!
This Trackman data serves as our starting point for the year. Later in 2025, we’ll compare our stats and see how much we’ve improved.
What areas need the most work?
How will our swings evolve throughout the year?
Can we shave strokes off our scores with better data-driven practice?
Stay tuned—we’re only getting started!
